Celebrating 50 Years of the Women’s Tennis League

This year, the Williamsport Women’s Tennis reached a remarkable milestone – 50 years of competition and love for the game. To celebrate, we hosted our annual banquet at the Central PA Tennis Center, which brought together players for a memorable afternoon filled with joy, stories, and achievements.

Our banquet not only marked the end of another successful season but also served as a chance to honor the dedication and achievements of our members. Winners from the singles and doubles divisions were recognized at all levels, highlighting the talent and hard work that makes our league special. It was an afternoon to remember, with players from beginners to seasoned competitors sharing in the celebrations of another fantastic year.

Over the past decade, our league has seen consistent growth in membership, which is a testament to the welcoming community we have built. We are proud to embrace players of all abilities – from those just picking up a racket to those who have played for year. This spirit of inclusivity is at the heart of our league’s enduring success, and we are thrilled to continue expanding our reach.

A message from the president | 2024 WWTL Season

To My Tennis Family,

I want to welcome all the returning members and eagerly anticipating new members to the 2024 season of the Williamsport Women’s Tennis League. Our league flourished in 2023 year with 152 members that included 27 new members.

By participating in the league, it will give you the incentive to get out and play at least 6 matches or 12 matches if you are doing both singles and doubles. Match times are flexible because you set up times and places that are convenient for you and your opponent. Williamsport and surrounding areas have wonderful outdoor courts plus the indoor facilities that is second to none.

A message from the president | 2023 WWTL Season

To My Tennis Family,

Welcome to the 2023 Williamsport Women’s Tennis League. Hard to believe that it is time to think about getting your registration forms and payments in to be able to join the 2023 WWTL season. This awesome league runs as smoothly as it does because I have a wonderful group of women on the board who help guide me in the right direction. Without the 146 members who make up the WWTL, there would not be a women’s tennis league. Thank you all. I admit that I do not recognize everyone or remember names from one time to another. So please be patient with me. When you see me on the courts, please remind me of your name even though I should know it.
